Career Notes
Josh was born and raised amid the glamor of Langford and began his rugby career at the rugby factory of Belmont Secondary. Josh is the second of three brothers who have played for CW and the first to have played in the BC Premier League. What Josh’s game lacks in finesse it more than makes up for in brute strength and raw talent. He is a punishing tackler and great runner with the ball. After a couple of seasons with the first division Josh appears to have found a home in the Premier League as his game has seen tremendous improvement.
This improvement seems to coincide with the departure of Ed Knaggs, a mentor who convinced Josh that a second row does not need to be able to catch, pass or jump. The size and strength of Josh has rugby insiders asking many questions; how has he gotten so good?, how good can he become?, and is it true that Josh is really a sasquatch that has been shaved and domesticated?
